How do you change the oil pump and oil pan seals? My truck leaks oil from the front driver side and I already had my front cam and crank seals replaced so it leaves the oil pump or pan to be the culprit. Do you have to take the a/c compressor off in order to do it?

I noticed this particular leak right after my t-belt change a few months back. I was wondering if this was caused due to the crank or cam seal being installed wrong. It does not leak at the front of the motor, it only leaks at the front diver side. Uploaded with ImageShack.com

Front camshaft seal is a BEAR and I mean BEAR to get right. It took two professional mechanics three times to get mine right. That looks like it

I was thinking that it was the driver side cam seal but I wasn't sure. I would think if it was my oil pump leaking I would be loosing oil like crazy right? If it was my oil pan leaking it would leak while parked and it doesn't do that. I loose about a quart of oil every 800 to 1200 miles depending on how hard I drive it. I also have bad VSS but not to bad anyway only when idling for long periods of time. Is there a way to fix this w/o tear down the timing stuff again?

The front can seal is unfortunately behind all that rats nest. It must be torn down again. Sent from my DROID RAZR using proboards

Wipe it off as best as you can and try to trace it. If it's coming from the cams again it has to seep out of the timing cover somewhere. If it is indeed the oil pan I believe you get it out by raising the engine up.

Hi guys I have the same leak, the previous owner did chance the timing belt, but I was left with gearbox main seal, rear cam seal, rocker cover seals and plug O rings.I fixed every thing and now this oil leak,if some has had this problem before can you please tell me what the issue was. If it is just the oil pan to be resealed that's fine, but I found out to do that with the alloy sump type it bolts back on to the bell housing and you have to drop the front diff and driveshafts. So please if you guys had this problem can you tell me what caused it thanks and happy driving ?

If you suspect the cam seal. add oil dye, run and pull the LH timing cover off using a small mirror and dye light check the area behind the cam gear. Make sure you clean off any oil before you add dye.

Hi , the previous owners got the t,belt replaced.since I brought the car I had done all the rocker cover seals and rear cam seals and its just after I had fixed all those seals it started leaking down below the ac bracket on the block just where those two sump blots are just like in the picture.I would like to know from you guys that had tis problem what it was , was it just the oilpan reseal,I cant afford to break down or afford a masive repair bill as we just got a new born and still sorting finances' out any help will be fantastic thank you.
