I bought the Cam sensor while on vacation this past week on the US, and I would like to change it myself, but I have not found the manual or a how to and would like to know how difficult would it be.
I'm deciding if I shall do it myself or take it to a shop.

I don't think so but if hasn't been done you probably should cause I believe you have take the timing cover off to get to it as well as everything else. Although there maybe a window on the cover for access.

I changed it no prob.
To change Camshaft position sensor on Montero Sport
Remove battery for more space and better lighting
Needed tools are 10mm, 12mm and 14mm sockets with two inch extension
10mm closed wrench
blue thread lock
First remove screw holding terminal to the engine, then follow crank and cam cables and undo a removable tie-rap. With the socket remove both screws holding the cover. The old cam cable is gonna take a little convincing from leaving the cover, but patience and wiggle and a bit of teflon oil worked just fine. 10mm wrench to unfasten both screws holding the sensor. I applied a small amount of blu thread locker and medium/light torque to the screw when adjusting it. I applied also a bit of white lithium grease to the grove and the cable fixer.
