I need some new tyres for the sport and was looking at goodyear wrangler duratrac or cooper discoverer ST. Only thing is the goodyears dont have the snowflake symbol on them. does any one know what difference the snow flake symbol makes. Jonny

Jonny Not sure about the snow flake as I live in so cal so couldn't care less. I will say I've haven't heard many good things about those goodyears, but have heard lots of good things about the coopers. I a bit biased though. I've had two sets of AT3's on my sport and one on a previous truck. The At3s aren't as aggressive as some ATS but have nice road manners and are quiet. Perfect of the light wheeler. I've heard the ST max are a combo of AT/MTs and have great things such as aggressive tread but longer tread life than MT Tires.

Also had Cooper Discoverer ATs on my ford truck and it beats the Pirelli Scorpion ATRs on my Monty when driving through rains especially when you hit puddles....

thanks for the help, I think im goin for the cooper st's Nice! The st or the st maxx? I think there is a difference. In any case when you do post up pictures and impressions. I think I'm going for those next as well. I've has at3s and atp but not st, but I'm sure they will be great from previous experience with brand and reviews.

Well after all my yammering about goodyear and cooper iv went and bought a set off General grabber AT2s as they were on offer, but thanks for all the great advice I know this thread is over and done with, but a good A/T for winter/snow use is the Geolandar A/T+. Here they're usually cheaper than other brands. They're wicked in the snow and slush. Good self-evacuation. I run them on my '03 Limited AWD and my '97 LS 4WD (the little Sport). Decent lifespan with both, but not as long as other brands because they use a softer compound - which makes them good on ice, too. Edward
