Keep up the good work. I'm constantly looking for new ideas to moddify, its unfortunate that aftermarket parts are slim to none on these vehicles.

Buddy of mine got me this sticker and decided to put it on the MS. Seems it gets alot of attention when people spot it during stop lights and even more when I drop off or pick up my son from school and the kids get a kick out of it when they see it.

Cool trucks, I was thinking about opening up the relflector between the tailights and loading it up with leds. But your idea is much more cost effective (g)

Sweet truck! Would you mind sharing how many LEDs and the part number to swap the gauge bulbs? did you swap the AC control ones too?

When I purchased my MS a little over a year ago I took it to a shop that was recommended by my brother in law to do a full front engine service (timing belt, water pump, pulleys, tensioner and seals) I didn't mind using quality aftermarket parts for the water pump, timing belts and pulleys BUT I required that seals and tensioner to be OEM mitsubishi. I would of done the job myself but with work and no time and the holidays...I just couldn't do it, so paid someone else to knock it out in a day for me.
Fast forward to a week ago and I suddenly developed a oil leak which was small beginning of the day and by the end of the day when I got home from work was much more than a "small" oil leak. I tried to trace the oil leak but i guess with the undercarriage wind turbulence it was kinda everywhere but assumed that the front part was ok...I thought it was most likely the rear cam O-rings and replaced them. Soon as I cleaned up majority of all the oil and started the truck it was leaking oil even worse than before.
Valve covers checked out and rear cam plugs were snug and tight...so I opened up the passenger side inspection cover for the Tbelt and discovered that OEM Mitsubishi cam seals were NOT installed, instead aftermarket orange seals were used and it was sitting outside the cylinder head AND they reused the auto tensioner. So sure enough I found my oil leak and started tearing down the front engine and the drivers side cam seal was half way out of the cylinder head.
Tried to contact the placed I had the work done and had them pull up my invoice when they did the work on my MS and they said the installed OEM seals, but I texted the guy a picture of the seals protruding from the cylinder heads and he has since avoided me.

Tell him your attorney will contact him in a few days. I guarantee you they will fix their screw up.

I have thought about it but to be honest its not worth it at this point. Plus IF they offered to fix the issue...I wouldn't let them ever touch my vehicle again.
I had to order the cam seals from my local Mitsu dealer which should arrive tomorrow. Probably won't be able to put the MS back together probably MAYBE this weekend but likely next week.

What a shame, the good thing is that you noticed the problem on time. I hope you can have it rolling soon.

Take it to a dealership and send him the bill. Sounds like an idiot worked on it.

I didn't get a chance to take a pic of the passenger side before I installed the OEM seal but the left side aftermarket seal wasn't even seated inside the cylinder head causing the oil leak. From the pic you can see the drivers side seal was on its way out too...as the seal is more than halfway out with a very small oil leak starting.

Having lots of family out of town prevented me from fixing the MS during the holidays. More great news I was able to discover is that the new OEM hydraulic tensioner that was supposed to replaced was NEVER replaced so its safe to assume my front crank seal was never replaced either.
