Good show. Glad you are up and running again. Sadly i think i have a similar situation.... oil leak that wont quit. I also had a shop replace the cam seals and valve cover seals and i still have leaks... ugh... left the original tensioner on as well when they did the timing belt. Idiots...

The valve cover gaskets and valve covers and front cam seals HAVE to be done a certain way. If you don't you will warp the valve covers and they will leak regardless. I just helped a guy here who ordered aftermarket and the seal was WAY off from the OEM new seal.

The bezel mod looks good. You know if someone has a 3D printer we could print out some clear corner pieces for these. Hint hint anyone? Evo oil cap??

Correct...it will fit pretty much every Mitsubishi valve cover. I had that cap on my sohc 4g64 on my 96 galant for years after installed the turbo setup.

No...I owned my evo for a short time, when the economy took a dump and I lost my good paying job after my wife got in a very bad accident, I had to sell some of my "toys" and the Evo was the one item that I could still get the most money back.
I am planning to buy another Evo, but this time the one I really want which is a CP9a Evo 5 or 6 in a few more years when they are legal to import and title. Right now I have my 2 Galants to keep me very happy.

Ah man sorry to hear about your wife Hope she is doing better. I feel terrible for even bringing it up On a positive note an early model Evo would be awesome. They had a lot of goodies that were never available on any of the U.S. versions. Those vr4 Galants are incredible machines as well. The later model ones will be up for import in a few more years. Talk about a sleeper, practically the same thing as an Evo with weight reduction. What I always liked about the eclipse and talons, so light (considering) with all that potential and AWD...

No worries man...you didn't know but fortunately she is alive and the mother of my beautiful son and daughter. Its life...we just bought our 1st house a few years prior, she was making progress to getting into RN school and I was a Parts Mgr for a Chevy dealer and making pretty good money at the time...so life was good. I was in a flag football league and my wife was going to my my game. To this day I get chills because while we were warming up for the game we heard ambulances and moments afterwards someone was calling my phone repeatedly so I eventuallly answered and it was some stranger telling my my wife was in a bad accident which happened to be 3 blocks from the fields and those ambulances and firetrucks I heard earlier were going to that scene. Some young chick with a brand new mustang at the time (2007) ran a stop sign going approx 50mph in a 40mph zone Tboned my wifes 99 Galant right on the drivers side. When they got to the scene I saw them using the Jaws of life to pry open the drivers side door. About a week or so in a coma and a few months with amnesia and not even knowing who I was and among several medical related issues related to the accident...it took about a year 1/2 for her to recover, but to this day her short term memory is affected which is hard at times. Ironic thing is my ACT clutch took a dump (springs on the clutch disc fell out) a couple weeks before this happened and from that point till Oct of last year my GVR4 has never moved under its own power. Finally got it running after all those years on jackstands so I was really happy driving it again. Photoshoot
