Good day to the thread. Is there anyone out there that knows where the oil pressure switch is located on 99 XLS 3.0? Also if anyone has a diagram for how to replace the cam bore o rings I would appreciate it. I know where they are located but they seem impossible to get to. Dealer wants $140 for oil switch & $520 for o rings so I'm trying to DIY.

Rear cam or front cam? Oil switch should be above oil filter.

Rear cams are easy peasy. Go buy a LONG 12 mm ratcheting wrench. Passenger side will be harder than driver side. Undo both bolts and slowly slide out cam plug. Spray some OFF with deet on the cam plug to loosen the old oring and clean off baked on oil. DO NOT SCRATCH THE ALUMINUM. Pop on new oring and slide plug back in. Torque bolts to spec. Driver side wheel. Take it off as well as loosen tranny dipstick bolt and push out of way. Move rubber splash shield too. Reach up and find the cam plug with your hand. Do same thing to driver side.

One of them is right above the oil filter on the front of the engine. Don't remember which that is. They are different as one is just an on/off switch, while the other is a pressure sender. Edward

Dealer did not specify. I believe it is the sender, though. Was going to cost $138
