Initial post and new to the site, seeking assistance and guidance on the matter of a 2003 monty sport ls. I have an image (which I hope I can manage to post here) that shows I have a fuel leak (the leaking line is the one on the right as shown), the issue I'm having is the location of the leak in regards of the work/parts required (between the fuel tank and the frame under the left passenger side beside the fuel filter).
1. Is there any way that this can be addressed without removal of the fuel tank? preferred method since less will be disturbed and even less of a chance of breaking other components.
2. Has anyone else in here come across this? I did search but most results I found were more of a fuel pump/tank issue rather than a fuel hardline.

Pretty easy and doesn't take long. I had to replace the hard line on my '97 a couple years ago. Looks like it cracked when I broke the frame in UT. You are correct. According to the techs I talked to at the time, its pretty rare. Usually caused by something external - accident, off road use, etc. Edward

The tank comes down with 4 nuts. Like Ed said pretty easy and quick. Make sure you hit them with some pb or wd40 before you take them off. Once the tank is down there are a couple of lines to disconnect. It's easier if you take the wheel off and disconnect the lines you can see leading down to the tank first AND disconnect your fuel filter. This was the 2nd tank I've ever dropped and it was much easier/faster than I thought it would be. Just be sure to remember/write down/take pictures of the lines so you hook everything back up correctly. Tank nuts are 14mm I think.

Stephen Also, there's wiring that routes along the top of the tank. There are channels build into the tank top where necessary for the wiring to go UNDER the hose(s). If you route it over the hose(s) eventually you end up with a short from the wiring rubbing on metal an you'll burn your Sport down. I actually had one harness miss-routed from the factory. Edward
