Keeping fingers crossed that it passes the vacuum test, then kicks out cold air for the first time in over a year!

Sigh, complete and utter failure. AC was actually cooler than before, but the compressor continually kicked on and off to where I simply had to leave it off. I could actually feel the truck slow slightly when it kicked on. Guess I'll replace the evaporator with the new crummy one I bought and see if that helps. Of course I have to evacuate the system again to do that. Hate AC.

Mine was kicking on and off continually when I used mine, would make the car slow down then surge then slow down everytime it would cycle. In the end I had too much refridgerant. After the vacuumed it, and refilled with just the right amount it works perfect (not as cold as a brand new car, but works)

Too much is just as bad as too little as I understand. That's why I have been hesitant to tackle our delsol with the AC that just went out.

I'll try the same thing at some point. Dan

Oh and because they didn't have to add any refrigerant. It only cost me like 45.00 for the dealer to suck it dry and refill with the exact right amount. I was happy.

Mitsubishi Dealership charges me 82.50/hour, and always gives me 10% off since my vehicle is considered classic since it was bought 15 years ago originally. And has over 100k miles.
They take good care of me. They also get me parts at wholesale prices. So about what I'd pay by searching for OEM parts online. Sometimes they actually beat the online prices. Most of the time it's with in a dollar or 2. But I've spent a decent amount of money there also in the 2 and a half years they've been open. (They opened 3 days after I bought my MS)
Between their knowledge and everyone on these boards (and alot of time) I have taken my MS from barely running with a ton wrong with it, to running and driving like new. And it looks pretty darn new also.

UPDATE: AC is finally working. Had a second technician take a look at the MS and when he sprayed the condenser with cool water the H and L pressures stabilized and the compressor worked normally. That made him think there was something inhibiting airflow so he took a look at the clutch fan and found it was malfunctioning. When he replaced it everything began working.
I opened the hood when I got it home and I've never felt that much airflow coming out of the engine bay before. Surprised the engine never overheated on me, but these babies seem to be bullet-proof. Also, my driver side vent has always produced warmer air than outside temps and the other vents which I couldn't figure out, but now it's exactly the same as the center vents.
Finally.
