Can't keep them compressed long enough to place within a arms. Any ideas? They pop out to full length within 5-8 seconds

Get some super long zip ties. That's what I did.

I'm at XL right now getting shocks with the straps still on. 20% more than ebay but. 10 minutes from house. Plus zipties are tough to use on the fronts with the studs.

Put the metal washer and the rubber grommet on. Put a zip tie around the grommet making sure it won't slide off it or the washer and use that to run the zip tie(s) lengthways. For the bottom of the fronts and rears put them at the base of the eyelets.

I took some spectra (hi strengh braided fishing line) tied a loop on each end. Looped it over the stud,through the eye, compressed the shock and looped it over the stud. Problem solved And yes, i put the washer and grommet on first
