Finally mine gave up. It goes sideways. I was reading previous posts and some links from eBay but they are not active anymore. Any other solution? For what I have read the dealers don't have this available anymore? Please advise. Thanks for your responses.

I think the boot gave up first but when I went to Christopher Dodge in Golden they did not know what I was talking about. Which dealer in Denver is good or where could I buy and service both? Thanks!

I think the boot gave up first but when I went to Christopher Dodge in Golden they did not know what I was talking about. Which dealer in Denver is good or where could I buy and service both? Thanks! You need to talk to Steve. If he's not at the desk ask for him and tell him Edward sent you. Steve is a Mitsubishi parts guy from Quality. So, he actually is their Mitsu parts guy. Christopher lost their Mitsu tech a couple months ago. Not enough work. Other than parts, I'd stay away from there. They have enough issues working on stuff they know. McDonald Hyundai on south Broadway - just about two blocks south of where Quality Mitsubishi used to be. Virgil is the service manager. Tell him Edward sent you down - he'll treat your right. Jamie is the Mitsu service tech from Quality there. He does all my Mitsu work. He IS NOT a Hyundai tech - he is a Mitsubishi certified tech from Quality that McDonald bought, so he knows what he's doing with Mitsus. Jon at McDonald Hyundai is the Mitsu parts guy from Quality. Its a little awkward but he knows the Mitsu parts. He's got a folder about 1" thick for all my stuff now. If you need to talk to him, tell him Edward sent you over. They just finished up my little '97 and the new '99. Getting ready to drop the big Sport off for P/W stuff. 600K miles - guess something has to give out. Edward

Ed, I went to McDonald Hyundai and Virgil move to CA. I talked to Jamie and he was not sure about the symptoms. They don't really service Mitsubishis anymore but they kept their contacts for parts. I found an old link on this board and from ebay they had purchased what is call a "gearbox shifter fulcrum ball bush" from Australia for US$32.95+ ship and there is also a kit that comes with a smaller white bushing for $36.00+ship. McDonald Hyundai looks for Mitsu parts from SkyLine down south. Is anybody from this forum purchased this bushing? and how hard is to DIY? Advise. Thanks for your responses. RD

Didn't know about Virgil. Interesting. I was just in there Friday picking up the '99 and making arrangements for the big Sport to go in on Monday. ?? Talk to Chris in service and John in parts. I'm not sure what don't really service Mitsubishis means - Virgil knew I would be sending Mitsu customers there and (very) upper level management was perfectly fine with that. I'll be in on Monday and I'll find out what's going on. Not much help here. From Christopher, Skyline on 104th and the guys out on Havana. Edward

Ed- I meant by that, being a Hyundai Dealer and me bringing a Mitsu.....it looks like they will service any car that comes in for any service. They did not turn me away but I kind of felt like what am I bringing a Mitsu in? Please let me know how it goes on Monday.(I went to the dealer that is almost next to the McDonalds).

Ed- Did you get a chance to go to the dealer? Thanks! Yep! Ok. So Virgil moved to CA. The parts manager is moving to the service manager position and John - Mitsu parts guy there - it talking over the parts manager position looks like. I forgot the parts guy's name, but he's in training this week. I'll talk to him probably Monday when I'm down there to test drive the big Sport with the new BMC. I spoke to Chris - service desk - and he specifically said they are DEFINITELY doing Mitsubishis and will continue as long as they have Jamie and he definitely isn't going anywhere. In fact, Jamie'd be much happier if more Mitsus showed up so he could stop working on Hyundais. I talked to John in parts and one of the other parts guys and they said exactly the same thing. Nothing has changed. Everyone said, if someone needs Mitsu work definitely send them down. But, Chris said to make sure whoever goes down needs to speak to him in service or John in parts. The rest of the guys there have no idea what's going on so God knows what you'll get from them. I created quite the ruckus when I dropped the big Sport off for the first time Tuesday. I pulled straight into the service drop-off in front of the counters. I brought the entire service area to a standstill for about 15 minutes. Got some really strange and scared looks from the customers there with their Hyundais. Funny watching them argue over who would get to drive it into the back lot. Edward

Least y'all have a good one. Can't seem to keep one around the Atlanta area. Although this last time the actual mitsu dealer just changed names rather just disappearing altogether so that's a plus.
