Got rears on in am and / 490 my speedo is within 1-2 mph of gps yippie and it almost goes to 20 in 1st !!! Keep those away from anything even vaguely resembling mud and water. You couldn't pick a worse tire in the wet if you tried. They don't self-evacuate and they hydroplane really easy. Great tire out on the slick rock in UT! Ok in the sand but not great. Mediocre tire on the granite here in CO. Mediocre in the snow as long as its dry. Same problem in the slush as with mud. I know you don't have snow and slush to deal with, but these things will pack so fast in the mud you won't know what happened and then you'll just have four bald tires. BTW, if you get weird tracking on the highway, its the tires, not your steering. Edward

1st hand experience? My 33/10.50/15 options are limited. Though @ 12.50 they do improve considerably.

Oh, yea, and I wish I didn't. And to top it all off, I have inherited another set. The only tire that I know of that's actually worse are the Thornbirds. I have personally run BFG A/Ts on and off road. In the mud, sand, rock, snow, etc. I've been on the trail with dozens of people running them. For years. And years. They're very good in very specific applications. Basically, if its dry, they're great. They don't track very well on the highway because of the tread design. I'd forgotten that until I got the '99 back week before last. They don't wear all that great, either, so the older they get the more 'issues' you run into. They just suck in the wet. BTW, even in Moab where these tires excel - they're STILL not as grippy as the Geolandar M/T. Edward
