My front passenger's power lock has been acting up lately, sometimes it wont open or sometimes it wont lock when pressing the switches. I took the door apart to lube the rods and clean the actuator and seems like it helped because its working fine so far. In case it goes south, Has anyone installed an aftermarket one to keep the power function? I would basically just find a spot to put it in and wire it using the OEM lock wires. This would be in a 03 MS

Maybe post a question on some of the 3G/Eclipse/Evo forums? I can't imagine that the SUV uses a unique actuator. Actually, wait, I take it back ... I think I DO seem to vaguely remember someone on one of the forums a few years ago talking about retrofitting keyless and something about the actuators and I'm certain I saw it on one of the Mitsu car forums. Edward I took a look at it when the door panel was off and it seems doable but also seems like the cursing had good effect because its working flawlessly since yesterday hahaha. In case it dies and I install an aftermarket one Ill update this thread to keep it as reference.
