I ordered mine through Rocky Road, I didn't order torsion bars, and I got free shipping. It was cheaper with free shipping directly from them verse ebay.

I ordered mine through Nisstec here in Denver. Convenience to pick it up locally. Prices were pretty much the same.

Torsion bars are needed if you are planning on adding additional weight to the front like a heavy off road bumper, or winch etc. If just lifting it a couple of inches, and the stock ones are in good shape, you should be able to just crank them. Make sure to take the weight off them before cranking and do small amounts at a time. I also swapped my brake lines because of the body lift and cranking the torsion bars put unneeded stress on them when the front suspension extended.

That is correct but when I ordered Rocky Road had some bad reviews with delivery times etc. So I decided to go locally. Then went to local RSG Off Road for Installation. Nisstec did not even attempted to offer me the service of installation, like you said only Nissan. Worked for me.

I've seen a few posts here and there that seem to indicate a Nissan lift kit might work on the Montero Sport.

I think it was $300 + for torsion bars and rear coils:
