Very nice! This turned out awesomely. Really looks like it was meant to be that way.
I'm currently drawing out plans for a unique scoop design to aid in drawing in cooler air for the short ram and hood louvers to reduce heat soak. It'll be awhile though because I have other mechanically orientated projects to deal with first such as getting my blasted AC to work. xD
I gotta say it again, bang up job there man. Love how centered it is with the grill and how the wiper nozzles sit right on the corners. Paint job is on point too.

Love how centered it is with the grill and how the wiper nozzles sit right on the corners. Paint job is on point too. Thank you! I really like the way it looks, like you said, it looks like it was meant to be there. That is one of the reasons that I chose this particular scoop. I was thinking about installing louvers too on each side of the scoop but wasn't sure if it would look like too much. Maybe some day I will run it to the air intake. I imagine it has to help with heat in some way or another.
The scariest part of this job was cutting a big hole into the hood. I will post pictures of the other side soon. I used this awesome tool called a double head sheet nibbler. You just attach it to a drill and it effortlessly chews through the metal nice and clean. I practiced with it a little before using it on the hood on a small sheet of HVAC sheet metal I found in my basement. I cut around the structural parts of the hood leaving them in place. Here is the link to the one I bought if interested. Double Head Nibbler
It took two attempts for the paint to turn out right. The first time I tried to clear coat it and it instantly turned into what looked like a dry river bed... So I stuck with single stage this time around and it looks fine. As to how well it will hold up, we will see.
