Yep, it's a rather big job. Search on forum here, several how-to's. You need som new gaskets for inlet manifold, and it's recommended to consider new plug cables if it's of unknown age. Plugs MUST be platinium or iridium. NGK has iridium, probably some of the best you find.

Also may not be a bad idea to change the valve cover gaskets either. Make sure to use black RTV on the valve covers, assemble the valve covers/gaskets immediately after applying the RTV, finger tighten the bolts, leave it for an hour, then torque to specs (26.55 in/lbs" and wait at least 12 hours (preferably 24) before starting the car otherwise it may develop a leak or two fairly quickly (within hours to days).
Also clean the valve covers gasket seats extremely thoroughly, the valve covers on these motors weren't designed very well and have major issues with leaks if you weren't previously aware, so cleaning them thoroughly may reduce the chances of the gasket seal failing prematurely.

I concur with fikse, NGK is about the best whether it be plugs or wires. Been using them for 25+ years and never a problem. I'm about to replace these in my own 2000 3.0 4x4 (when time allows):

I've decided to get the sparkplugs and oil seals replaced and valve cover gaskets what would be the man hrs to do this?Anyone .How many oils seals are there? The problem with calculating man hours for a job like this is that it's dependent on many unique factors, most of which hinge on the person doing the work. How familiar is he/she with the engine, how much experience as a mechanic do they have, and how much attention/time to detail do they apply to their work ethic? These are just a few examples, the quickest job is not always the best and neither is the longest. This being said, to change the valve cover gaskets & grommets, sparkplugs & wires, and intake manifold gasket takes me about 4~6 hours because I'm meticulous and I always find something else I need to do while I have it all apart. My estimates are 30mins for setting up tools and parts, 1 hour for disassembly & parts tagging/bagging, 2 hours for repairs/misc. (ex: thoroughly cleaning valve covers), 1 hour for reassembly, 30mins for tool/parts cleanup. As far as seals go for the job you mentioned: 2 Valve Cover Gaskets 6 Spark Plug Well Grommets 1 Intake Manifold Gasket
