So at 130K miles my ignition coils and plugs went bad. Replaced all and life was good. Out of the blue at 150K miles I get a cylinder #3 misfire. Found my plug boot is backing off. I thought I read somewhere that this could be a sign of maybe a bad cylinder or something. Or maybe an injector or hopefully just a poor oem plug wire. IDK just annoyed... 2002 Mitsubishi MS AWD 3.5 V6

Hard to believe that a plug wire can actually back out on these motors. Once snapped in correctly, it takes quite a bit of force to remove one. If you're using a set from Autozone or similar parts stores, maybe try ordering a good NGK set off of Amazon or from other online sources. I found them to be of much better quality than the Autozone/O' Reilly/Advance Auto brands and the cost is comparable. I doubt that it's a bad cylinder.
