Hey, My name is Dave. I'm a 29yr old married daddy with 3 beautiful daughters (9, 7, and 3). I work as a coatings applicator for an OEM manufacturer in Northern KY. I just got my 2000 LS 4wd a couple of months ago to replace my Maxima that tried to take a bite out of a Toyota at one of the local "deer crossings". So far it's prolly my favorite vehicle I've ever owned, but I can't figure out any mods that I really want to do. I kinda like it the way it sits. We just bought a new house, so any mods will have to wait anyway. With my wife's and my work schedules, most of my time is spent on the kids, the dog(black lab.), or the cat. I'm a chronic DIY'er and if I don't know how to do it, I'll learn on way or another.

I'm Preston, and I'm from Francis Creek, WI just on the edge of Lake Michigan. I got my MS a few months ago. I have a 2000 LS with the 3.0. She sure is a great truck and is currently undergoing a little bit of a makeover. I installed a brush guard, Hella off road lights, tail light guards, and upgraded the sound system. The previous owner had the windows tinted to 20% but otherwise she is bone stock. I am thinking about doing an intake and exhaust job but haven't decided yet. I am a student in the University of Wisconsin and am going to be a paramedic and first responder in a few years. I also love to ride my motorcycle in the summer months. I would consider myself a pretty outgoing person that loves anything automotive or motorcycle related. Another hobby of mine is music. I play the trumpet and guitar and also do some vocals. Currently it's winter in WI and cold and snowy as hell but the Montero can handle anything mother nature throws at her. I have yet to get stuck with my MS haha.... knock on wood.

My name is Nick and I'm your friendly neighborhood diplomat. I work for the U.S. State Department...which means you should keep an eye out for the world-wide adventures of my recently purchased 2004 Montero Sport.
First stop is is the small Himalayan country of Nepal. The truck will be packed in a 20 foot sea container, shipped to India and then loaded on the back of a truck for the overland trip to Kathmandu.
IF the truck isn't lost at sea or over the side of a switchback en-route to it's first foreign destination I will be sure post up pics of our on- and off-road adventures on that side of the world. ;D

This type of topic seems to be on every Forum- and I found it to be a great way of introducing yourself and getting to know other people in the Montero Sport Online Forum. Please do not stray off this topic with needless replies . So let me start.... My name is Joel, i'm 32, and I live in sunny California. I am an ASE and Mitsubishi Diamond Star Master Certified technician with a California Smog License. =============================================== Hello Joel, Im John from PalmSprings. I was raised in the farmlands of sutter County between Yuba City and the Buttes. I moved out of the area to PalmSprings. Hate the heat, love the winters,& desert. The desert of Central to Northeren Nv are the best. This desert is alot rougher, hotter etc. Preface first: Im using rotella oil for a1981 2.2 L diesel(tappet lifters) . My understanding is Rotella, and about 4 other oils have retained higher levels of zddp ,an anti wear ingredient for the older "flat" tappet engines. QUESTION If I use this oil in my Montero 3.0, 1-will the additives (zinc .12 and phosphorus .13) negatively effect any of my smog equipment such as catalyic converter sensors or whartever ? . 2- will it negatively effect any calif smog check results if it is being used in the engine?

Hey there. My name is Jesper and i'm from Copenhagen, Denmark. In Denmark the MS is called Pajero Sport instead and i drive the 2.5TD version with 4 wheel drive from '99. I have 275.000 km on the clock and the cost of a truck like this all standard is between 10.000 and 12.000 us Dollars. And besides that there is a lot of rust in the cars. Mine though doesnt have any significant rust at all.
I am educated as an carpenter, but i currently work at a juvenile institution, where i've worked for 3 years now.
Well, i hope to hear from some fellow MS owners from all around the globe.
Jesper
