Mox you are not retarted. Also yes i will because Everybody needs a sweet ride. It takes about 30-40 minutes and will give you a good lookin engine bay as well.

it took me about 10 minutes. just open up the air box, take the clamps off the tube to the intake manifold, unplug the MAF, and pull the whole assembly out. there are 3 screws on the bottom half of the intake box that you need to pull out. takes a 10mm socket. attach one end of the intake pipe to the intake manifold using a clamp. the other end to the MAF, then attach the MAF adapter to the MAF, then clamp the filter on to the MAF adapter, and plug the MAF in. there is also a vacuum hose on the back of the intake pipe that needs to be plugged in. pretty simple. my intake sagged a little so i added a metal brace underneath it to keep it steady.

well the only problem with zip ties is that they could become loose causing the MAFS to throw a CEL.

no, i used industrial strength permanent zip ties. they don't come loose. and i put 2 zip ties per hole. so there are 8 zip ties holding the MAF and the adapter together. i don't think i will run into any problems.

Why not just use 4 grade 5 bolts? You can ubolt and rebolt when needed? It cost me .87 for 4 of them with nuts.

Well I would suggest using bolts just because a MAFS is not exactly cheap to replace if those zip ties didnt work out somehow. I am in the process of doing more mods on my engine like spark plugs, wires and getting some ralliart equipment, What would be the best to use for the plugs, plug wires? I want high performance and gas mileage mileage boosting. Are the magnecore 8.5's good with a triple platinum tipped plug? I also have seen where turbonators are used but I know for a fact they are a waste of time and money!!!!! I think your gas mileage would actually suffer by sticking a piece of bent metal in your tube and causing an obstruction!!!!! As well as the chips that are good for burning up P.C.M's. I wonder if anybody has ever stuck a 4.3 chevy in a montero sport? They are very good engines and would be kind of the same size? ALso they get gooooood mileage.
