How much lift did you get out of those shackles? and did you have to extend anything? I wan to do the same and buy some 33x10.5x15 inch thornbirds. )

im not really sure b/c i didnt measure before. i really just got it to level with the front from the torsion bar lift. i didnt have to extend anything even when i had the stock shocks on it. it was really easy to do, took about an hour. good luck man!

Thanks!! Plan on getting it done myself this weekend! Nice ride by the way! I was going with the 33 inch thornbirds but $$ made me go with firestone destination M/T. 32x11.5x15

So you got a 33x10.5x15 bfg right? any rubbing issues? I am thinking of going with a 33x10.5x15 swamper tsl radial.

Did you have to buy new bolts and drill the shackles out bigger so the new bolts would slide into the factory rubber bushings too blackmonty98 or did you just use washers> ? I had to drill mine out.

well crap. The kit I bought at autozone the bolts were too small and also weren't long enough either. So I had to go buy bigger longer bolts and drill the shackles out. ?? What the hell???

Well just FYI When and if anybody else decides to do the same thing as monty and me did. Get a 5/8ths drill bit. the shackle kit from autozone. and some 5/8 x 5-1/2 long bolts. Also get a box of 5/8ths washers. 4 lock washers and 4 nuts. When you do the lift make sure you have a 17 mm socket and breaker bar for the leaf springs. and on the passenger side you have to unbolt the rear exhuast hanger so you can remove the passenger side rear OEM shackle. Also make sure the shackles mount the correct way as they are supposed to. I just went the first hole when I did it and it raised it 2 inches I believe.

here is a little before and after really easy to do and cheap. took about a day (prep was 98% of it). used loctite metal filler, 3m red sandind pad, and duplicolor roll on bed liner. i used the spray version at first but it didnt have the extra texture that i wanted. total project cost about $60! looks really good black....thumbs up from me!
