I noticed that some Montero Sport models in Europe (they called them Pajero Sports) have a nice 3-gauge cluster on top of their dash. See picture. It looks like it has a Volts meter, compass and water/oil temperature gauge (although it's really hard to tell from the picture). Does anyone know a way to get that part? Even if I would just be able to get the cluster housing, I would be happy. I can just fit some Sunpro gauges. It will look really cool, and not like an "aftermarket" thing. Thanks ;D

I have one, not OEM tho, from Summit, with Autometer, water temp, trans temp, and oil press. guages. Here's the only pic I have of it.

Yeah, that would be another way to do it. But the OEM part should be a perfect fit By the way, how did you install the temperature sensors for water and A/T fluid? You can not replace the factory ones, and I believe you can not use a T-piece either (because there would be no flow). Did you drill and tap your own holes somewhere? Thnx

Drilled /tapped for water temp. For the trans temp I used the factory sensor spot for the dummy light sensor, which would've had to have been spliced in anyway because I'm running a different trans. ;D

You lucky bastards! LOL ;D Maybe they only had those in the 1st gen Montero Sport? Anyway, I was able to look them up at www.mitsubishiparts.com. The whole assembly is $536 I could just order the hood and the front plate ($60 + shipping) and then fit my own gauges. I already have the compass and temperature gauge in my rear view mirror anyways. Could anyone of you do me a favor and measure the diameter of those 3 holes? Would I be able to fit standard 2" gauges in there? Thanx

lol, o yea, we got the good stuff!
$536 for the assembly?! sheesh, just go to a junkyard and find a ms with those gauges or something.
I'll check the holes out tomorrow, my truck is parked far away right now and its freezing here at the moment and windy..brrr...

danny, what did you do for the oil temp?

It's an oil pressure guage, and I used a brass"t". The factory sensor goes in one side of it, and the Autometer sender goes in the other.

Can anyone provide a catalog number for this 3 gauge cluster? I tried locating it on the mitsuparts website but no luck. I also tried to ID the cluster at my local Mitsu dealer (I'm in Huntsville, AL) and they don't even show it as an option for any Montero Sport (I have a 99 MS LS).
Alternatively, where else can I go to find an OEM cluster like the one shown above?
Thanks, Mephisto

Try calling Mitsubishi directly, the dealerships are kind of stupid around me when it comes to finding correct parts, specifications, etc
It's called a 'Multi-Meter Assembly' in the manual...

Did anyone mount the gauge cluster themselves or did you have it intalled by someone? How did you determine where to mount and drill the dash?
