That's the one that broke when I removed the Tbody. Mine was hard as wood and didn't have the heat shield material on in anymore, so I replaced it with some standard straight hose and wrapped it with heat resistant material.
My old hose looked very much like it was straight hose bent into a 90 degree turn.

Its pooling up on the throttle body side of the hose...It could be the metal pipe but I'm crossing my fingers it isn't. I have a day off of work in 2 weeks so I'll fix or do more work on it then. Until then I get to drive my car for a bit (wife hates it...no complaints driving it).

I bet you it's the hose. It might take you 10 minutes. KEEP THE FACTORY SPRING CLAMPS. they use them for a reason.

Here's what mine looked like before it broke. You can see that some bonehead replaced it using conventional hose clamps and no heat shield. And here's the other hose running out the front of the t-body. This hose was very pliable compared to the first, and has the original clamps and shield intact.

So I pulled on the supply line and that thing is hard as a rock compared to the replacement. It also feels like its going to crack any second. I threw down the money and bought both OEM hoses for the supply and return. The return hose is the current problem but it doesn't seem too far off before the supply goes too. I think I'm going to drain the whole system next weekend and then replace all the coolant hoses I can reach. Upper and lower Rad hose, thottle body hoses, and heater hoses at that crazy looking T junction. I'll see if I can't take some photos during the install and show you guys the before and after. Maybe even add to the DIY section if we are lucky.

I got both the supply and return coolant lines replaced on the Throttle Body. Seems to have fixed the problem. The hoses I bought for the heater core/Tee didn't seem to be the right ones. If figured while I had the coolant out I might as well also replace the upper and lower rad hoses. Lots of caked on crud inside the hoses...looks like the old radiator distributed a lot of crap through the system before I replaced it when I had my timing belt done. Coolant is staying bright green though even after a good 8-10K miles on the fluid. Decided to replace it though since I was already drained. I'm still worried about the Tee but until I see more steam or smell coolant from the engine bay, I'm not going to try and reach the hoses against the firewall and replace the Tee as seen in the earlier pictures.

Yes, It fit perfect. No kinks or anything...got it from mitsubishi dealer we use online.

Ummm...yah...this T-joint should have failed years ago from the looks of it. I put a little bit of pressure on it and it literally just crumbled into pieces. Picked up a new on at the auto shop.

I would recommend putting heat shielding over it.
