I have a hid kit left over from my 95 f150 with 9007 bulbs that im trying to use on my sport. I know that the kits are good. I'm guessing that the electrical system is a bit different on the sport. I've switched around the wiring in the hids and right now I get the hids on either in dim or bright mode. Any other way I wire them I either get brights all the time or nothing. Do I maybe need an hid capacitor? Please don't lecture me on whether you like hids or yada yada yada. I had them on my lifted f150 for 2 years aimed properly and I never once has anyone flash their brights at me.

It will work, our trucks use 9007
I know this because I bought a set for mine and after using it for a few weeks I installed it on my mom's Ranger.

Gen 2s (2000 to 2004, or later if outside the United States) use 9007

So did you guys have any trouble with them working or did you have to switch the wires around in the harness on the hid light. Did you have problems with the bright/dims?

My wiring was spot on, only cost me like 40ish for the harness, ballasts, bulbs etc. Nothing else was needed besides reaiming and polising lenses. Everything worked out of the box, but there were instructions for swapping wires if needed. I did have issues with the bulbs though My first email was on disassembly instructions so I didn't have to modify housing. And they answered in about 10 hours. And then a day or so later I was having problems with one light not changing to high beam when I turned them in, that side stayed low beam. They express shipped 2 more bulbs. First replacement would actually turn off when switching from high to low, and low to high. Second replacement has been perfect for almost a year now. Mine came with the relay harness though.

Does anyone have a wire diagram that shows which wire is high low and ground?

The 9007 socket carries both the low and high beam wiring. And they switch between high and low with no problems.

Well when I test the wires to see which ones are hot, with the lows on there are 2 wires that are hot and with the highs on there is one wire that's why I'm confused. Can someone show me which wires are high, low and ground on a montero sport?

Bought this kit from ebay....... linkThe high beam is a joke & pretty useless,lol....doesn't really give much brightness & flood/beam. This the instruction seller sent me to make it to work on my 02 XLS. link

I tried HID on my Sport and I thought it looked like poop. The headlight is not designed for it. I would love for someone to come up with a projector setup that was clean looking. The only one out there looks like crap, to many accessory lights.

Are you guys referring to bi-xenon or the dual bulb type. If using the the dual bulb type it's not going to do what was intended cause the bulb isn't in the right place. The bi-xenons can work but you have to shield the top and bottom of the bulb as well as the whole "bottom" side of the bulb that's facing the bottom of the housings reflector. Gen 1 are 9004 i think and gen 2 9007 Edit: Gen 1 is 9003
