I looked for any thread with this but couldn't find any. These are the questions I have about leveling my Sport. How hard is it to adjust the torsion bars? How you do it? How much can you adjust? Whats the negative effects? Do I need to align it after doing the adjustment? Got any pictures ? Keep in mind my Sport is 2WD and has regular street 245/65 tires, so I wont need to clear bigger tires, just lift the front end a bit to get a leveled look.

Easy. Get under the middle... just follow the torsion bars back, loosen the lock nuts and tighten the adjusters. You can level the truck, just watch the bump stops. You probably don't want to max it out and have no down travel left. Negative? Might need an alignment and front will ride a little firmer. Probably, but not always. My MS was still in spec after the crank.

Technically you're supposed to take the pressure off the torsion bars by jacking it up ymmv

Technically you're supposed to take the pressure off the torsion bars by jacking it up ymmv Absolutely. Several people have had the bolts strip out and a couple people have had one break. ALWAYS lift the front completely off the ground and make sure the front wheels drop completely to their lowest level of travel. Don't put the jack under the A-arm because that's no different than leaving it on the ground. Edward

Are the bolts something that are common or are they special order?

Now how many rotations of the torsion bar, on average, to get it level?

It varies depends. On how worn out your springs and torsion bars are, if 2wd or 4wd etc. It took mine quite a bit, but I also had new rear OME +2" springs and larger tires.
