Tried this once and phone died as i hit create.... Ok wait.... let me get this straight... You used full size Montero springs on a sport? It raised it how much over the stock height? 2 inches like ome? What size tires on there now? What year full size did you use and what trim level??? Do i remember you also used full size torsions? What year and trim did those come from? Cause if you are esentially building OME lift out of OE parts... i'm so in. I can totally rob from a junkyard. Been having good luck as of late. If i can score a susp lift at pull-a-part $... wifey will not say no! Wifey is finally letting me out you the yards again. Only 3 weekends a month with the grandson now. Yes Do you know if the rear springs off the gen 3 Montero will work.

Red, if your interested I will find George tomorrow and see how much to pull the springs/torsion bars. It would be less than what OME charges that I know. I will measure them tmmrw and double check. As an aside though, you need to start looking at widening your track, putting offset wheels made sooo much differance?

Thank you If you can ask how much to pull... that would be great, but i cant get them right now. Commited to a deal with bdmontero on a rear guard if the shipping works out. What do those parts cost from your junk yards? On the off chance i cant find them local i might hit you up then. Seems those parts are pretty plentiful your way? We dont see too many 4x4 in the yards.

see that date? It won't be there next week my guess... good luck... Well if its not too much trouble to ask him what he would charge to pull? Also what the parts costs are... Maybe I can work it out before that beast goes bye-bye... I just need to factor cost options... I have to factor shipping in and his cost to pull versus me doing it here. Prices here: TORSION BAR $21.50 plus $2.00 core... SPRING, COIL TYPE $12.95 plus $1.00 core... So I'm looking at $47 in torsions... $28 in coils... so about $80.00 after taxes... At my yards presently... a 2000 showed up 8/26, 1998 on 9/15 & 1997 on 9/26. That's it for Full size. Hence my 20 questions about what trim level... LOL. The system is not in place yet online that tells trim levels, so I have to go see them in person. Would be prefect if one of those foot the bill. Not trying to be wishy washy, but Money is a bit tight presently. Had one of our cats that went into crisis a week ago. We ended up losing him, but not before we racked up $1200.00 in vet bills. So I got a chunk going their way too right now. And like I said earlier BD and I have been going back and forth on that rear piece for about a month... Got that $ set aside.

Absolutely. Was planning to for the torsion bars. By chance did you get a wire thickness measure on the coils? I'm researching now to verify suspension options in the full size.

So i can confirm... the gen 2.5 (wide flare molded metal fenders) 1999 with the winter package has the "sport type" upgraded supension parts. Measured and confirmed torsion diameter. Pulled then Even found the light blue paint splotch on the coils! Now to see if non winter package got those as well...
I pulled solo today and got coils and torsions... not horrible... 2.5 hours due to sloppy yard stand placement.

Do newer Montero coils and bars work? Like 00 and up There are a few older ones driving and even less at yards around here. When I saw you scored a gauge pod I remember my cousins parts gen 1 has a boxy looking pod with oil gauge and compass. I wish it would fit my dash, but it will be a pain besides the plastic is already desintegrating on the top of it
