Sounds like you are off to a great start. My thoughts on tires are the same as you guys were mentioning. I want something tall, thin, lightweight, and all terrain. Most off road tires are tall, wide, and heavy. I went with the Cooper Discoverer ST in LT255/85R16. They are 48 lbs apiece and are 33.1" diameter and 10" wide with a more aggressive all terrain pattern. I just ordered them a few days ago so I'm still waiting to see how they actually perform for me. I have the factory 4.90 gears, OME suspension, and they are going on the factory 16x7" rims.

I'm toying with tweaking the little '97 just a bit after the '99 is done. It already has the ARB bumper and skids and I think I'll do the 2" body lift on it like the '99. But, I don't want another serious off road vehicle. A 10" 32-33" would be perfect. Just enough to get it off the ground but still be decent around town. Edward

I am really satisfied with 235/85/16, although I have to say I still cannot say what obstacle is easy or hard. Car goes everywhere Cannot wait for upgrade

I'm at the tire shop and we'll see if the 255/85 (33.1") fits with just a 2" OME lift.

They fit perfect! Not only that but the truck actually feels like it drives/accelerates at least the same if not better. And on the highway the RPM's are running lower then before with the 245/75's. We'll see how the MPG's are effected both city and highway. I've got a good feeling though. Anyway, sorry for the tread jack!

Good! You won't regret it. Going on 3 years on mine and zero discoloration and zero cracking has occurred.

That an ARB bumper? Did they have to change and relocate the water fluid tank? Or modify the grill at all?
