Hi guys and gals! I've got a '98 Sport LS with the off-road page minus the skid plate, forgot it when I moved to NC from Massachusetts. I've had great luck with this vehicle and couldn't let it go when my farmhand totaled the front end. I want to rebuild the front end and turn it into an off-road superstar! Looking for ideas and an idea of what I will need suspension wise. I already run 31x10 Geolanders. How big can I go, thinking of welding on diamond plate for fenders instead of replacing. It's a 3.0 4WD with electric lockers and of course differential lockers. Thanks in advance for all recommendations and suggestions. If your stateside, can you name a few sources for accessories and parts as well? PS, where can I post some pics? Looking forward to getting to know you all!!

Welcome to the forum, I am a newb with these vehicle but I have found what seems to be good suspension for this rig. They have a few other parts on this site too. Hopefully this helps! www.rocky-road.com/mitsubishi-montero-lift-kit.html

Welcome to the crew, I use photo bucket for hosting pictures, depending on how crazy you want to go for how big of a tire you want to run, 33×12 with a minus 6 offset is what I'm currently running. 285/70/17 on 17x9 rims. I went a tiny smidgen too wide on tire, or a tiny touch too much on changing from +10 offset to -6. When I am braking hard and turning left I get a very little rub on drivers side tire. I can turn the torsion bars additionally, but then the ride gets a tad rough and I personally don't like the angle of the CV joints. I was able to run that size tire after just the 2"OME suspension kit with stock torsion bars. I later added 2" body so I could lower the front a little to decrease the crank on the torsions.
