Hey guys check out the DIY page... I just saw it on there today... Looks good 03, but what did you do with the screw holes? are they noticeable from the front? You may want to put some tape on the back to cover them so nothing gets in.

ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT THE REFLECTOR SCREWS, IF SO AFTER I TOOK THE REFLECTOR OF I PUT THE SCREWS BACK ON, THEY HAVE A RUBBER WASHER AROUND THEM. I GUESS I SHOULD HAVE MENTIONED THAT IN THE DIY, SORRY.

With the orange reflector removed, what color bulbs are used? Did you use the stock/OEM bulbs?

IT IS JUST A NORMAL CLEAR BULB, NOT AS WHITE AS THE HEADLIGHT. I'M GOING TO GET A BULB THAT MATCHES THE HEADLIGHT BETTER.

Man that looks tight! It was the motivation i needed to get mine done so i went and did it! Another idea u guys may want to do is to paint the light bezel while have it out. I did mine black so it looks liek the 97 style eclipse lights looks real tight! Ill have pics posted in my gallery, if ya wanna see. Lata

I did the mod today, i.e. removing the orange lens from the headlights on a '00 MS. I followed the procedures in the DIY. I want to mention 2 important points that are not in the DIY that may help anyone who has a '00 MS. There are 2 additional 10 MM headlights nuts in the wheel well. Also the grill has 3 plugs in the middle not 2 as stated in the DIY. It took me a while of pulling and tugging on the headlights before I realize to look for more bolts/nuts holding the headlights.

I did mine over the weekend. It was harder then I expected. Getting the lights out is the easy bit, heating the sealant and seperating the lens from the cover is the hard bit. You have to be very patient and work the heat gun/hairdryer (thats what I used) a small area at a time, the hotter the better, dont try and just cut the sealant, you'll get frustrated like I did. its easier to work with when its hot . After removing the blinker cover reheat the sealant before putting the lens back. If you dont get it perfect the snaps will not line up and you will have trouble lining everything up correctly. I did this on the first one and had to take it all off again reheat it and reseal it correctly. First one took me 4 hours! The 2nd one went smoother than the first one as you know what to expect. If I can do it, anybody can. Looks good though after its finished.

When you take it out, can u see any traces of where the sealant was, or does it have a nice clean look to it?
