Welcome Endeavor owners. The Endeavor will replace the Montero Sport in the future.

Sad, but probably true. At least for about another 6-8 years, then maybe manufacturers will "re-find another niche"...oh yeah, that would be the market that wants a true off-road vehicle.
Although, I was peeking at the Endeavor for my wife's new vehicle...then I saw it was the 3.8L needing premium unleaded (87 octane being $2.35 where I live)...it was quickly discarded as a potential.
Cheers from manufacturing/business cycle land, Stod

The vehicle sure looks nice but between front wheel drive, lower towing capacity and needing high dollar gas it wont work for me. For my wife maybe, but not for me towing a trailer.

Let me tell you guys I don't drive it like a race car even though I played with the auto-stick twice and it gets pretty good gas mileage you just need to drive it descently but the torque it has there is no need to floor it anyways. Drive one and I am sure you will enjoy it, the transmission to me feels like my dad's Lexus ES300.

I to do not agree with Mitsubishi removing the Montero Sport from the line up. I think they should revamp it possibly based on the Raider chassis but thats Mitsubishi. But I will tell you that although the Endeavor is based on the Galant and by no means could it perform offroad as both Montero's it is a great vehicle. Yesterday after owning the Endeavor for two weeks I got into my friends MS and I must say I felt cramped and uncomfortable. I enjoyed the time with my sport but for a daily driver the Endeavor beats it.
