Have had a problem , went out to get in my 99 MS the battery was dead so I replaced battery and it seemed fine then let it sit overnight and went out the next morning and same thing battery was dead again what could be draining the battery I am at my wits end tried replacing the alternator fuse but same thing !! Any one having the same problem...

well thats what we call a "phantom drain" dkjennen. Something is left on that slowly drains your battery. Are you sure that your connections and battery cables are good and tight?Clean?

thnaks all is tight and secure Seems that i have a oil leak that subsequently leaks only when you drive it and it blows up into the alternator in turn shorts it out then you have to replace alternator

I have same problem with my 98 sport. The fuse box under the hood, I pulled each fuse while disconnecting/ reconnecting bat till I seen spark. That fuse turns out to run the brake lights, and radio. I don’t have lid for what fuse does what. Ended up putting switch between box and fuse so my brake lights work and shut off when I’m done driving so bat won’t die.end result is if radio is on, I have brake lights. Ongoing study
