Has anyone ever replaced the Manifold Differential Pressure Sensor (MDP)? Do you know where it's located? I'm getting the P1400 code and the truck is hesitating and has rough idle and this also affects the shifting of the transmission. I'm told this is different than the MAP sensor (manifold absolute pressure) and different than the MAF sensor (mass air flow). I already replaced the MAP and MAF months ago and the problem has come back. Seems to be something in the EGR circuit, and the only thing left is the EGR valve itself and the MDP? Problem seems to return under wet/high moisture conditions. This is on a 2000 MS Limitied with the 3.5L. This is a weird one...any help to fix would be greatly appreciated.

Its the same as the MAP sensor but it read in reverse on the scan tool. its located up top the intake plenum drivers side small black sensor bolted to the top. the fault is for a circuit malfunction I would check the sensor and wiring before replacing anything. also its very uncommon to have a failed egr valve, The solenoid is usually the failed part. You can do a search for the online service manual which will have the diag. procedure. try this link. www.ebooksquad.com/2007/08/28/2003-mitsubishi-montero-sport-service-manual.html
