Smittybilt 8k winch on a n ARB bumper. ZERO problems and I've used it a lot. Mostly on jeeps!;D ;D ;D ;D although if you have deep pockets and a a pointy noise warn 9000 is a good choice. Clocking the winch...winch mounting measurement and weight will be key in deciding which you get. In water all the time? Warn winch hands down.

Thanks. i was looking at a Ironman winch with a custom mount. I would love to have it hidden but I just don't think I have the room for that. I will not be in water to much just a couple of snow trips in deer season. I will check out the smittybilt though.

Always use a circuit breaker and conduit wire covering. One short And zaaaaaaaaaaaaaaap. All your electrical is toast. Here's a setup. ID stay clear of the ironman. Smittybilt or even a badland winch is better. Sent from my DROID RAZR using proboards Attachments:

Good to know. Thank you. I like the look. I will check out the Smittybilt. Did you not like your running boards? I am looking at replacing mine with some rock sliders from an FJ.

I'm designing some custom sliders for mine. OCD kicks in a lot on that project. Ask ES-97 about his. He has a cool set on his Monty.

Thank you!!That's no grill guard. That's an ARB bull bar. I have hit things and things have hit me you can't even imagine. And you can hear the arb bar just erupt in laughter as if to say...that's all you got?;D
