I have a 2004 Montero SUV and the Speedometer and Odometer won't work. Bought it this way. Purchased a used Instrument Cluster on eBay. How do I replace the cluster?

Never mind. It was so easy. Two screws in front of cluster going up. use plastic wedge (if you think you really need it) on both sides, left side, and right side to the right of the knobs. Comes loose. Three electrical connectors to be unpluged. Remove that piece of the dash. Two phillip screws on each side (4 total). Pull out and unplug the connectors. Install replacement cluster and reverse procedure. Takes 20 to 30 minutes. I was exploreing and read an earlier blog about replacing the bulbs, and went from there. Easy. Now I have a speedmeter and odometer that works, along with everything else. But I noticed that the speedometer reads about 1 mph faster then my GPS some of the time. Oh well.

One more question regarding the instrument cluster. Since I bought the Montero and the odometer didn't work, and I have the old one, anyway to get into it and find out what the actual miles are?
