Hello guys, I know this is really late and all but I plan on cranking my torsion bars 2 inches within the next few days and I was wondering if there was anything I needed to know. Like if I need new shocks or somthing of that sort. It's a 2003 Mitsubishi Montero Sport Limited AWD. I am only cranking so I can fit 33's. Also I plan to have it aligned after I crank them, anyway is there anything I need to do also or anything that I should know? Thanks.

I would stick with 32" tires. 33" tires will rub like crazy. When you tighten the torsion bars an alignment has to be done afterwards. If your wanting to do 33" tires I recommend a body lift.

My tires now are down to the last tread and I wanted to get some 33's to replace with soon and don't have the money for a lift kit also. But 32's will do

An add a leaf and maxing out my torsion bars was still not enough for 33" tires on mine. And that was a 3, 3-1/2 inch lift. They rubbed like a bit***. Sent from my DROID RAZR using proboards

Dang! Did you take off your mud flaps and everything? I've heard people say they can fit it with the torsion bar lift but I would rather be safe then sorry

I have a 2002 sport and with the torsion lift plus a 2" body lift I still had to trim some body to keep it from rubbing. Stick with the 32" unless you really want the 33"s.

Just for clarification are what full tire size are you talking about. Also what part of the tire rubs. Just wanting to make sure I understand for the future.
