I have intermittent starting problems with my Montero since I bought it. Usually a jump or wiggling cables would work. Then my battery went dead during a stretch of below zero temps. I changed out the battery. Since then I have blown my 100a fuse twice, the second time my alternator fuse went too. I heard a large crack in the dash above the glove compartment and started losing power. I replaced the 2 fuses and it ran again. I parked it in the driveway, then in the morning when I went to start it, it turned over then immediately killed. My mechanic is stumped, and I am beyond frustrated. 10 days now and we are no closer to a solution. I just need a place to start here.

I would post this in the General section. The whole forum here is about the Sports, this particular thread is for the Larger Monteros.
