I hate to say it but they did it to themselves... radioshack now is not the radioshack i grew up with. Used to you could get anything and the folks knew their stuff... not anymore. I want the RadioShack from 20 years ago... I have always preferred to buy stuff like that local... a. Cause you never really know what is going to work and it would be nice to be able to return it.... b. It never fails that you need to do the project in a hurry. I don't want to wait on the internet. C. I hate not being able to really get clear answers about products on the internet. There is zero quality control on so much out there.

Maybe I missed something, but took apart HVAC, and radio to get to these little suckers. There seems to be two that are burnt out. But need the part #. Tried my local NAPA auto parts, Orileys, Radio shack, without any luck. Is this a generic bulb I can get online somewhere? please help! I had the dash cluster out already for two dash bulbs that were out. 2000 Monty 3.0 ltr

Think Osram has a complete list of bulbs needed for just about every where for our vehicles. Select year make model and it will bring up a chart. Not 100% sure if those are in chart or not, I've slowly been swapping all my bulbs to LEDS except headlights

Yeah thanks, I am kind of dreading taking it apart again. I am getting the new bulbs this week. My uncle works at a Toyota dealer in parts about two hours away. There is a Mits dealer next to him (closest one to me). He said he got the bulbs from his work @ Toyota. Will give you guys the bulb # for reference if needed down the road. They are tiny!

Thank you for posting the bulbs and these caps. I think these caps would be twice as large as the ones currently on the bulbs. Has anyone actually bought these caps and used them? And I second how difficult it is to reuse the caps that are currently on the bulbs.

I bought caps but haven't installed any yet, but they appear to be the right size for the small bulbs.

Hello there,
Did anyone figure out whats the bulb size for the A/C panel?
I opened up the front panel cover but the access to the lights is very limited (as pictured here). I couldnt take them out, but next time I reach there I want to be with the new lamps already.
For the main dashboard its 4x T10 for backlight and several T5 for the check-engine etc lights.
So I`m guessing they should be one of these...
Annnnd another question:
The lights from the A/T transmission shaft are out too (not the green ones in the dashboard, the white ones in the knob base). I want to replace them, anyone has any clue of the size?
regards

Hello there, i just found out in another thread that all of them are T5.
thats great. Thanks a lot.
I am just missing how to take the HVAC light black socket out. Do I need to unscrew it? Or just pulling it should come out?
I have very little access there because of the ventilation boxes just above

I unscrewed the whole panel to have a bit more room and grabbed the socket with a couple of pliers and twisted it, its pretty hard to take off but it can be done.
As for the shifter light, ash tray and ignition ring, those are T5 too. The map lights on the overhead console are T10.
