Anyone have any experience with these springs? I just rescued a 97 MS that doesnt have much rust (a miricle here in michigan) off craigslist for $500 but it hasnt been maintained at all for at least the last 4 years by the PO. Both rear springs have broken leafs in multiple places.

Both rear springs have broken leafs in multiple places. You can have a set built. You can get stock springs from the dealership. Or you can get springs from Iron Man or OME. You can also have the ones you have repaired - maybe - if you have shop that does that around. If they have multiple broken leafs, then those springs have been beat to hell. From personal experience with my '97, if you have more than one broken leaf and have them repaired, you'll just be right back where you started in a year or so with other broken leafs. You also don't want to risk breaking a main leaf so replacing the entire pack (both sides) is usually the safest. I lost a main leaf about 8 years ago in Moab on Steel Bender. I JUST BARELY got it out without damaging the fenders or wheel well. When a main leaf goes it'll settle down onto the tire. Nasty. The Old Man Emu (OME) springs are really nice. Good product. Not as stiff as the stock '97-'99 leaf packs but will still support a good load in the back. The ones I ran had a 2" lift. Easy to level a stock sport back out by turning up the front torsion bars just a tad. Edward
