I'm considering running a 255/75R17 on my 2001 3.5XS 4wd stock height. I'm currently running a 265/75R16 with no rubbing and I don't think the 255/75r17 will cause issues but wanted to check and see.
Also ideas for wheel spec with this size?
I think the American Racing AR1727883B will work. Center Bore 108mm Offset 0 Size 17x8 Weight 26lbs Bolt Patter 6x139.7

The 0 offset will shift the tires out 10mm, and the tires are 10mm narrower, so 5mm inside and outside narrowed. So outside will be 5mm farther out then your current setup. Also if you do a size comparison chart it will tell you how much of a difference your speedo and number of revolutions, circumferance, diameter etc between the 2 also. So you can turn the wheels see whthe the clearance's are hub to hub where it's the closest and if there is enough clearance.

Seems to me that they will fit as 5mm further out but a narrower tire should clear even better than the 265/75r16 on factory wheels. Circumference is very similar with 255/75r17 being slightly taller.

5mm farther out is after taking into consideration the narrower tire. The rim will push the tire out 10mm, the tire is 10mm narrower, but 5 of that is on each side of the tire. So inside will be 15mm out farther and the outside will be 5mm out farther.
