Just wanted to find out if it was normal that my glove compartment light is always on whenever my headlights are on. Kinda annoying, just because I can see it through the crack between the glove compartment and the airbag

There should be a pin switch behind the glove box that switches the light on and off dependent on door position. It sounds like it may be out of adjustment or completely off of it's mount. You can check this by opening the glove box, disconnecting the glove box stops (to swing the door completely open)- and checking the switch.

everything seemed to be set up how it should be with that pin switch, but the back of the glove compartment was just not reaching the pin, when the glove compartment was closed. So I just added some foam tape to the back of the glove compartment to ensure that the pin gets hit when the glove compartment is closed. Thanks for the help Joel

You shoulda asked them.. "what is the purpose of the switch if the glovebox light is switched on and off with the headlights?" then watch their eyes light up like this ---------------> ... idiots! Unless your actually spending money with them- take whatever the dealer tells you with a grain of salt. What i've found through the years is that service writers do NOT like to do anything over the phone as there is no profit in doing so. This applies to ALL dealerships for all manufacturers. Joel, CA
