I have a MS that needs a timing belt ...anyone want to do it, away from a stealership?
This is a Sport that I am selling, I just want to get it serviced to sell.

Hey abner malidy...
Thanks for responding...but...actually I'm an Atlanta gal -who drives a '98 Monty XLS (I love it) ...However, I'm still looking for a decent mechanic. Have you found one yet? Perhaps some other Atlantan(s) can give us a hand here - I know there must be some other readers who live in our neck of the woods!!!

I have been using a guy for years at a place called J&N auto in the Dunwoody/Norcross area. The owners name is Jimmy Niece. Give him a call and tell him Beau Marshall sent you. He did my timing belt and does a great job on everything.

I've been to three different dealerships in the ATL area. The best I've found yet is Ed Voyle's Mitsubishi in Marietta. The Service Manager, Steve Payne, has been fantastic. I know the dealer is an expensive way to go but I want to make sure my MS is well taken care of.

muddy, you are right about steve, he is great!
hes the guy that got my radio code for me for free when the a$$holes at town center carmax/mitsu wanted $40.
as i said earlier, i dont think there is any MAJOR pricing difference between the dealers here, BUT, finding a good guy like that steve that will make sure things are done right and not selling service beyond what is really needed IS what makes a BIG difference to me.
HEY- all you ATL guys (and gals)
lets do a get-together sometime. nothing fancy, just meet somewhere, kick some tires, tell some lies, maybe drink a beer.
