Skid (and all Windows XP users): Saw your post about all those Viagra ads you are getting...I seem to be getting a lot of that stuff, too - according to all those spammers, I need a bigger d*** and Viagra hehehe. Well, until my wife complains I don't need to worry about it !!! We are all going to get spam email, only thing you can do is set your filters in your email program. BUT FOR ALL YOU WINDOWS XP USERS, you are probably getting a ton of Messenger Service SPAM pop-ups. You can get rid of that problem WITHOUT buying any program to stop it. NOTE: I'm not talking about MSN Messenger or Windows Messenger, but Messenger Services - thank you Microsoft for the confusion. If you are getting these pop-ups and want to stop it, simply disable (Messenger Service) by doing this: 1) click "Start" button 2) select "Run" 3) enter "services.msc" (without quotes), then click OK 4) scroll down to "Messenger", select it 5) right-click and then choose "Properties" 6) under start-up type, chose "Disabled" and then choose the "Stop" button. 7) after the service is stopped, click OK. THIS IS IF YOU ARE A SINGLE COMPUTER AND DON'T HAVE A NETWORK ADMINISTRATOR THAT NEEDS TO SEND YOU ALERTS VIA MESSENGER SERVICE. Of course, if you are on a network you probably are not getting this spam because your corporate firewall stops it. Mostly, this is for you home users running XP. Hope this tip works. Cheers, Stod

I have that disabled and still get tons of annoying pop-ups. Guess it only stops certain ones. Seems like with every jicky pop up blocker I download...more pop-ups attack my computer

I get a serious pop up from this site. It is the first one that I have seen get past my google pop up blocker. Pretty irritating too.
Jay, did you know this pop up was hitting your site?
Best pop up killier I have seen is google's new 2.0 toolbar and its free. Go to google and download their new toolbar, its and included feature.

Sorry for all the pop-ups, this message forum is actually free and stays up because of ads. There is one thing member's can do to stop this...donations. There is a button on the bottom page "Make Donation", this gets rid of all the ads (banner and pop-ups) for a while. I hate to ask for donations, but I also have to pay for the web space and bandwidth since I upgraded it. Well, any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
