In January I go Ice racing on Georgetown Lake in the mountains of Colorado. It is a total blase and yet very safe too. You race only two 4x4s at a time and you start on opposite sides of the race track. So you can't crash into anybody. You drive around cones that they have set up on the Ice. The race course is usually in the shape of a dog bone or butterfly shape. And you make one full lap on each time you race. You win by process of elimination. They give trophies to the first through fifth place finishers. They have 3 main different racing classes. Street stock bare rubber (that's the one I race in.), Pro Street, and Competition. The Competition class in amazing to watch. They have bolts in their tires. Check out the link! www.ourgangiceracing.com that's My MS on the Lake. Skid

This Ice Racing is legit!! Yo, those super modified cheaters are the shiznit!! I also found some other cool links on the site!! I also checked out the news spots on it.....not one injury in over 30 some odd years of Ice Racing!! Yo, and from all the RV's on the ice, it really looks like you guys know how to KICK IT!! My B-in law lives in Denver, our next visit, we will have to try to time it with ICE RACING, so we can check it out and get 2000ute out there for a run on Sunday!!

It would be cool if you came out!!!! The ice is very thick. It has to be at least 20" thick for us to have everybody on the lake to race. My wife and I are really looking forward to Ice Racing this winter. We didn't get to go this past winter because of are new addition to are family. My daughter will be over a year old by then, so I am sure she will get a kick out of it. Skid Yo right on Skid, This Ice Racing is legit!! Yo, those super modified cheaters are the shiznit!!
