This has been discussed many a times but with all my attempts I still have not been able to post a picture. I have followed the directions on the site and have not been able to have my picture show. If someone can work step by step with me I would appreciate it. Thanks.

Hence the reason I sent the PM instead of posting it on the board. No answer.

Dude.... you need to exercise a little patience my friend This is not my job- i do it for "fun". Comments like that make it "not fun" at all. Aside from that, once we get this straightened out, i can now refer others who are having the same issues you are- to this post. (instead of having to explain myself again and again and again...) The FAQ section is pretty self explanitory. ONce you post or upload your picture into a web hosting site, all you need is the URL address for that picture. Once you've obtained the URL address for that picture- right click and copy it, click on the "image" tag up top and and insert the copied address in between the and[ /img] codes (right click and paste it) in place of URL. Preview your post to see if it works. The "image" tag is the 4th tag from the lower left corner. I also noticed that you're storing your photo's with Yahoo. I'm not 100% sure, but i don't think the briefcase feature can be used as a host. If it can, you're definately gonna have to make the pictures in it "public" in the briefcase settings. 1 helpfull hint is that you should be able to enter your pictures URL address in you web browsers address bar, and have the picture show on the screen. When i enter the URL of your attempted avitar- it asks for a password. Joel, CA

What Joel is talking about is something called "direct linking". In the past five years it has been getting harder and harder to finding a direct linking web site to host your pics for free. These days it's almost impossible to find. I have yet to find a good free direct linking website where I can put my pics. The best way to direct link your pics is to have your own wedsite that you pay for. Where you can host your own pics and freely direct link to them. Hey thanks Skid ! Looks like your Avitar is on the the rocks also I have an account on PictureTrail.com which i'm paying for- you're dead on as far as websites that host for free. If they do, they're service is either terrible- or they automatically put their banner on the picture. Joel, CA

I may be able to help yall on this one. I have web hosting with plenty of space and bandwidth. If you would like me to host your pictures, send the picture to pictures@rons-world.com and I will email you back with the link. However, I do reserve the right to adjust the size and compression so it is not unneccessarily large. I'll see how this goes for a while....if people start taking advantage of my generosity and start spamming or whatever, I will stop it.

Yup, that's me at about 215-220 lbs. I've dieted down to about 210 and still counting on dropping a few pounds before summer. I've been cycling my weight for the past 3 years- beefing up in the winter and slimming down for summer.
That's great of you Ron! I was thinking the same thing, but i've quickly filled over half of my limit with pictures here and another site that i moderate (Nitro RC site). I get into as much detail there (if not more) as i do here with ton's more pictures- so i'll need to keep my space free.

I apologize but my frustration came out of the fact that I posted this same question a couple of months ago. I am sorry problably from the crappy day at work (which is still not a good excuse).

Joel also since you seem to be knowledgeable on weight lifting and working out. What would be your recommendation for a start out person who is hardly physical at all trainning plan. I start my ROTC in Aug and I need to get working.

DAAAAAAMMMM!!! Your are a beefy one. You must be fairly short to be 210 and still look something like that. I weigh about 202 and I don't look anything like that. Of corse out of that 202 bls there's about 17bls of that, that is fat. Skid Yup, that's me at about 215-220 lbs. I'm not sure what you consider short, but i'm about 5'10" (maybe 5'11" on a good day ). At 210, i look much trimmer with a little more definition (which is what i aim for at summer). I've been big my whole life (not neccesarily fat- just big) and weight lifting is something i absolutely HAVE to do to manage the weight- otherwise, i'll blow up. This thread has drifted completely off topic. Maybe you should start a new one. As far as ROTC- you should concentrate more on cardio and physical stamina over strength training. If you're really out of shape, some brisk walking and or light jogging will get your heart pumping. I'd also suggest you start cleaning up your diet eliminating all "empty" calories ( calories with very little to no nutritional value) such as sodas, candies, etc. Stay away from highly processed foods and fatty (saturated and hydrogenated fats) and or fried foods. Keep in mind that not to completely eliminate all fats as you body NEEDS healthys fats (Omega 3, etc) to break down certain fat soluble vitamines and minerals that you take in. Joel, CA

Joel. I know what u mean bu having to keep working out. Everyone in my family puts on weight when they get old or lazy and I started young so I have no choice but to be active of I'll get fat. Now I'm at about 215 at 5'9' with a little powerlifters pot belly as I am training to play fullback this year in semi-pro. Clay

Ah... the powerlifter potbelly. As you can see, i'm having trouble in that area as well It seems that that is the 1st place my body stores fat...and the freakin last place it takes it from when i try to trim down. Oh well, things can be worse i guess. I'm gonna try and keep the weight off through summer and finish off the year that way. It's gonna be a very difficult to do as i absolutely HATE doing cardio at the gym. I'm getting too old (32) to keep cycling my weight the way i've been doing (and my doctor tells me that its unhealthy to do so) , and i'm pretty happy with my overall size. We'll be moving to a hotter area of California this year so hopefully the "shirt's off" weather will motivate me to stay shreaded. Joel, CA
