Is anyone on here from the St Louis, MO area? If so I am just wondering if there are any good trails or good places to off-road? Im very new to this board, but hope I can get some good info from here and have the chance to meet so cool new people. I just got my Montero 4 days ago, and I am so in love with it already. Its a 1994 SR with the 3.5L V6, and the best thing of all its only got 28xxx miles on it. Hope to hear from you all soon.

How was your EBAY vehicle purchase experience? I would be great if you could provide an insight as to how happy/disappointed the experience was; high/low points; recommendations; pickup/delivery; etc.
Cheers, Stod

Stod:
I have to admit at first I was like that cant be right. I mean a 1994 with only 27xxx miles on it. But then I ran a Carfax report on it and the last time the plates were renewed in 2002 it had 24xxx miles on it. So I emailed the guy, and he told me he lives in Central America and that he only drives it when he comes here. The guy that I bought it from was most helpful and replied to every one of my emails and questions. He sent me plenty of other pictures of the truck, and I could really see how good of condition it was in. The pick up was not to bad either. I live in St Louis, MO and the truck was in Houston, TX. So I bought one way tickets down there, and the guy met me there with the Montero. He let me check it out and drive it, and then I paid him. For the whole trip including plane tickets, gas, food, and the truck I only spent $8800. My overall experiance was very good, I Hope this helps.

Congrats on the EBAY experience...and snagging a good buy. Thanks for the input. I'm thinking about maybe including EBAY as an outlet if I get back into the auto biz.
Cheers, Stod
