I'm thinking about supercharging my wifes sport. Anyone got any info out there? Seen Alpine and Capa's sites, but I want to keep it smog friendly(I'm in Colorado). Seems development may have stopped on Alpines part (lack of activity on the web-site), and Capa's isn't Smog legal in the U.S., at least not yet. Has anyone done any research into doing it themselves? Supercharger "head units" can be had at most every supercharger manufacturer, so my question is this; has anybody "hacked" the electonics to allow for a boost referenced fuel map?(3000GT?) I did a search earlier this week(6g72+supercharger) and came up with a site called rippmods.com. They do Eclipses and other 3.0L FWD applications(not Smog legal). Maybe if we all showed a little interest, they might help us out. Anyone on the east coast? They're in New York and might need your vehicle! Come on, take one for the team!!! To hell with a turbo, max HP is nothing! Torque is what I want! HP is always an added bonus. The power to get up a hill when 4-wheeling is what I'm after!

Not to be mean, but notice how there are no replies on this one.... I'd suggest getting a better intake, exhaust before going balls to the wall on a supercharger...but its your money..

You might want to talk to these people too. They started off working mostly on mitsubishis. www.rippmods.com/I dont know the differences between the montero and the 00+ eclipse or older 3000gt motors. But Im sure they could work something out.
