I should be having some rock sliders fabbed for my Sport in a month or two. I can't wait to get rid of the side steps. They will look something like this. Steve

Those should look nice. I'm still designing the new ones I want to make for mine. I've got two questions for you.
Are yours going to bolt or weld to the frame
Whats is the advantage of the truss set up (two paralel bars with a few short cross members) over just a single bar right up next to the body? I would think that the cross members could get hung up on stuff as you slide accross...

I am hopping to weld on. But I am going to see the guy that is building the rocksliders tonight to talk stuff over. As for the truss set up. As you know I originally wanted all round tub rock sliders like my brothers. But the guy who is do my rock sliders doesn't have a tub bender yet. so it still looks similar to the round tub design and I wanted some kind of step and it also will protect the doors alittle better then just one single bar right up next to the body? As for the cross members get hung up. The main cross members of the rock slider that are attached to the frame on the Sport are much more likely to get hung up. And I just liked the design.
