I needed new tires at about 45,000 miles (the stock yokohama from '97). Click here for Tire Info. I replaced them with Pirelli Scorpion S/T. They are great.

I bought tires today and have 25k on my 2000 MS ES. Had my MS at the dealer twice for balancing because the steering wheel shook at 45mph. After the second balancing the dealer suggested new tires. Since I was going on a road trip soon I didn't want to take any chances. I've had my MS since Nov. 1999 and in 3 years mileage is only 25k. I don't get out much

I just replaced my original Yoko Geos this week. I only got about 25K out of them. Worst wear was on the right side (no doubt from right rear drive wheel, and then rotated to front, so I showed more wear on the right). I probably could have gotten maybe 5K more out of the left side...doubt it.
After polling all my friends with 4x4s, checking Tire Rack, talking to the people working at The Tire Store in San Luis Obispo, I went with the BF Goodrich AT/KOs - 265x75R16 (my MS is a 2001 4x4 LS). I LOVE these tires. A little more truck feel, a little more road noise...but the handling is GREATLY improved. Little things like coming out of a driveway or parking lot at an angle...the Yokos would sway the MS at least two times back and forth...with the BFGs - just one little giggle. Bottom-line, I came down to deciding between the BFGs and the Bridgestone Duelers. Both are running over 50K tread life with everyone I know that has them. The guys at the tire store, all were driving the BFGs.
Enough said for me! Gonna' go on a road trip tomorrow, hopefully the MS will get real muddy!!
Cheers, Stod
