Has anyone tried installing a white face gauges? I saw one at ebay for $29.99. They carry gauges from 1997 and up.
Is it worth buying it?

i purchased those gagues and i love them! they look really good, and add a nice custom look. i bought the white ac panel one too. that was a real pain to put on, but it worked out good. if you do get them, leave all the factory gauges on and just put the white ones over them. it looks much better. its real easy to install. the ac panel is a little difficult cause you cant take off the thermostat and vent control knobs. you just have to strech it over them. ill take some pics for you and show you how they look. if you do get them and have any questions installing them, let me know. i think it was worth it. i like the reverse halo indiglo gauges, they really look sharp. the company they came from: www.streetracerparts.com has some other things for the montero sport too. might want to check the website out. the gauges are more expensive off the website, so get them from ebay. hope i helped with your question, let me know if you have any more. ~tony

s1ck, What year is your montero sport? Would you mind sending me some pics of these gauges installed in your 'sport?
Roel, I've seen the gauges on ebay, and they are only for 2000 and up. Do you know where I can find these for the earlier models?
Thanks!

Clay, I sent you an email with Tony's instructions. By the way, did you get the regular indiglow or the reverse indiglo gauges?
Tony, Do you have a picture of the a/c panel with the lights on at night? I'm curious since it has no light source of its own.

yeah let me see what i can do for ya! im glad i could help you out with the install instructions. if you have any other questions just let me know. ~tony ..........ok, well i went to go take the pics but yeah, dead battery , so once i get it charged back up ill get those pitcs for ya. it doesnt light up like the gauges, it uses the factory lighting, but they are the same blue and red color as the numbers on the gauges. ill also throw in a pic of the gauges in the color green. it looks really nasty the kit comes with a switch to change them from green or blue, and a dimmer too. so ill get those pics to you when i have a good battery. later, ~tony

hey cwic,
my gauges came with instuctions, but they weren't real specific. ill have to look for the instructions and ill give them to jay so he can post them.
its pretty simple, there is a ground and a power wire. the power wire has to be connected to your headlight switch, and the ground to a ground. i had to hook a test light up to the headlight switch to see what wire i needed to tie into, ill have to look again and let you know.
what company sold the gauges you bought? i got mine through S/R motorsports. if the gauges are through them it should come with the same instructions i got. if not try to contact the company and see if they can help you out any.
let me know if i can help out with anything else. good luck
~tony
