Just to clarify- due to the solid rear axle design of the MS, lowering the rear will NOT affect camber or caster. Lowering the front WILL affect camber.

After lowering the suspension to the height you desire- you'll need to have the truck realigned. The tech will then use shims to correct for camber or caster- don't let them tell you that it can't be adjusted 'cause it can! They just don't want to go through the trouble... No experience cutting springs at all...would never do it or suggest it for anyone Joel, CA

I've cut the springs on a '64 Cadillac BOAT. All you really need is a sawzall. I guess you could do it with a hacksaw but it'll take a while. Maybe a jigsaw but the blade is really too small. I used some water initally because I thought the blade would heat up too much but figured out that wasn't the case. You probably already know this but don't forget to take the springs out of the car before you start cutting!!!!
If you do cut the springs you could get somewhere around 2-4" of drop. I'd recommend cutting 1/2 -1 rung at a time and reinstall to check the height. Better to make a bunch of little cuts to get where you want than one cut where it's too much.
Be aware that cutting the springs will change the handling of your car. It will probably be more... "mushy" in the back. To have the same handling (or close to) characteristics you'd need custom springs.

Just cut em! I found that a die grinder with a cut off wheel werks the best and if u are careful u can do em on the car! but deffinatly take em off half a turn at a time. The car will be more bouncie and honesly this is kinda a last resort but mine will be done this spring! Lata
