Your speedometer must be re-calibrated. I recommend having this done by a professional since it does require some knowledge of mph's and gear ratio's..even I have limited knowledge on the subject. I know back on my 74 chevy, it was a cable that ran to the speedometer, but I have no doubt that todays monteros are electronic..so take it in to someone...

since you have 20's with rubberband tires, there isn't much, if any, if not less wheel diameter then yur stocks. with my dubs and the fat tire, i gained and inch and a half, but when going with a low-pro, you actually lose diameter...(inch) belive 32" is the stock dia, and 33-33.5" with 285-50-20 tires, so YOU lose a good 2 inches...

I fit 265/75R16 tires which is a 32" tire just fine stock. I did lift it 2" because I take it off-road and wanted more ground clearance and to run a 33" tire when thesze wearf out. 32 wont fit any monty sport without a lift. The stock is closer to 30's. Clay
