Hi all. My MS is pushing 50 000 km, about 30 of which were on the OE Yokohamas. Now they are starting to screech pretty much anytime, anywhere, and believe me, I am NOT driving the truck like an Indycar. They were never really good, but it's becoming an annoyance. Winter is coming, so I'll put up with the Yokos until I switch to my winter tires, but I'd like suggestions on summer tires. So far, tires I might be interested in are Highway bias (at least judging from the pictures on the corporate websites) Michelin LTX AT Pirelli Scorpion Zero (Scorpion Zero Asymetrico) (Scorpion ST) (Scorpion AT) Bridgestone Dueler AT (Dueler AT Revo) Off-road bias (not sure if it's worth it? ) Firestone Destination M/T Goodyear MT/R BFG AT or MT Some of these tires don't come in 255/70R16. What size can I put on without rubbing, given that I haven't lifted my truck yet (I know this has been asked a thousand times, but some say 32 inches tires will fit w/o lift, others say they won't). I mainly drive on paved roads as this is the family transportation. I do some fairly long stretches too, with regular 500-600 km weekends. I also occasionally do some mild off-roading ("decent" trails and washboard dirt roads). Actually, I live on a dirt street. That's why I think the Michelins, Pirellis or Bridgestones might be better. Your thoughts, anyone?

I have the Bridgestone Dueler A/T Revos
31 x 10.5 x 15
and have been very pleased with them... and they actually have more of an 'off-road' look

Any other comments, anyone? Cerof, you got the LTXs... what do you think of them?

38,000 miles on the Michelin LTX A/T tires and they'll go at least 15,000 miles more if not 20,000 miles.
We have about 1/3rd tread left.
They have been VERY good tires.
I'd recommend 245/75R16 tires for ya if you don't ever go off-road. You'll get ever so slightly better gas mileage.
245/75R16 tires are offered in just about every size of Light Truck and SUV tire on the market.
Including BFG A/T ko, Michelin LTX A/T, Revo's by bridgestone, etc.
The BFG's last long, but are loud for an A/T Michelin last SUPER long, but get louder as they wear and can be hard to balance. Revo's are quiet, but wear quite a bit more quickly than either of the above.
If I were staying at 265/75R16 tires, I'd stick with the Michelin. They are more expensive than the others...but have you ever taken a tire to 60K miles? With these, I'll come REALLY close.
The longest I've ever had a set of tires last is 45000, those were the BFG A/T kos on my last Grand Cherokee (1994)
Speaking of Grand Cherokee, because of a medical emergency in our family, I am selling our 2002 Grand CHerokee 4.7LHO Limited (white) with all options.
Offering it to forum members here for $17,000. Trade in is 15,5 and full retail is 21,5 private party retail is 18,4

ive got the Mastercraft Courser HTRs, and i have NEVER been happier with tires. Highway wise, they couldnt grip better or ride any smoother. Always stay true in the rain. I do quite a bit of driving on gravel roads, and u wouldnt know it for as well as they handle. plus the raised white lettering really accents the sexy black.

I have the Pirelli Scorpion AT's 31x10.50 (stock MS Sport - no lift). Love them, and they were cheaper than replacing the OE Yokohamas (plain awful tire). I've got 40k on the AT's now and I'm about 1/2 through them (rated for 60k), they put alot of rubber on these things - deep tread. Great dry, wet, snow and off road, and very quiet for an AT tread, and they are S speed rated! Some tires with really tall tread blocks get squirmy at speed or when cornering - these do not, very confidence inspiring. You may find them fine for both summer and winter unless you need studs, mud paddles or something.
I've had just about every major truck tire on something or other except the LTX's, and like the Scorpion AT's the best by far. My last tire choice was between these two. If anyone has had both the LTX AT's and the Scorpions on a MS (or anything), I'd love to hear a direct comparison from you.
